There you are harnessing the wind on the side of an open field between two forests of mixed pine and fir trees. Sprigs of life are surrounding your every step. Slowly you reach down towards a yellow flower. But remember, first you must request permission from the Spirits that surround your earthly delights. By the end of the day you have asked over a dozen permissions to the invisible floral gods. They were all granted. You pull a hair tie from your hair, or perhaps you have no hair, and therefore wear a headband covered in organically-dyed fair trade syrups. You wrap either around the stems of your very own flower assemblage. You know you will get home to the perfect vase to contrast hard and soft. Subtle and screaming. You've arrived at your perfect memory of the day and a way to capture it for the rest of the week. Congrats junior flower assembler, you deserve the badge you made yourself.
